Lovingly restored Charentaise farmhouseLe Grand Tilleul is a lovingly restored Charentaise farmhouse set in the delightful village of Lorigné and only 200 metres from the boulangerie The local market town of Sauzé-Vaussais is only five minutes away by car and it has two supermarkets, a restaurant, bars and pizzeria. There is also a local Ferme Auberge offering traditional country cuisine and farm produce. There is a boating and fishing lake close by and also tennis courts. It is just over an hour by car to the coast at La Rochelle and there is a wealth of places of interest for young and old. For more information on the region please look at our Region page The house is centrally heated and is therefore ideal for summer or winter lets. There is a telephone for incoming and outgoing local calls only. All bed linen is provided together with hand and kitchen towels. The property has a fenced, 9 X 4 metre, private pool with roman steps and sun terrace and is set in approximately 1 acre of south facing gardens. The outlook from the property is delightful offering views of open countryside and the beautiful village church. All the rooms in this farmhouse, built from the beautiful local stone, look out over the garden and pool. The property sleeps 10 comfortably and a cot is also provided. Downstairs there is a very well equipped, large family kitchen/dining room with dish washer, cooker and microwave. The lounge retains many of its charming original features including the old beams, large open fireplace and French doors leading out onto the terrace. In the lounge can be found, an English television with video player and an extensive video library for all ages and many games and books. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor: one very large double with ensuite which has French doors leading out onto the garden, and a further double bedroom. The bathroom has a bath/shower, wc and washing machine and there is a second separate wc on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three bedrooms: one very large double, and two twin bedrooms. The upstairs bathroom has shower, wc and basin. Outside on the terrace there is a barbecue and garden furniture, including table and chairs plus loungers.
