4 Bedroom, 4 en-suite. 150 year old stone barn, renovated with great style and excellent taste to a high standard by local artisans. It has a 10 meter heated pool, childrens activity loft and underfloor heating. Sleeps 10 people.

Le Mas is a renovated barn in a hamlet called Chez Pingault, just outside the village of Surin. It is a very quiet location, within easy reach of towns supermarkets and most importantly, about 150 meters away from Aldo's renowned Italian restaurant. Aldo has been in Surin for almost thirty years and his customers visit from 30-40 kilometers around.

The barn has been carefully renovated over a two year period by its current owners with the intention to use it eventually as their retirement home. Significant expense has therefore gone into providing what can only be described as a spectacular renovation!

About 75% of the accommodation is located on the ground floor and has underfloor heating, provided by an environmentally friendly air source heat pump. This also heats the pool. Wireless broadband internet is also available throughout the property.

The original part of the barn, comprising the salon and kitchen/dining room has Italian mosaic floor tiling throughout and the old stone and oak beams and walls have been lovingly restored.

The salon is a spectacular 8 meter square room, open to the ceiling with original oak beams and stonework exposed. To the east wall are a huge stone fireplace and chimney breast with wood burner and two oak French doors to the main patio and pool area. A large 42 inch TV provides UK SKY satellite and French television. There is a DVD player and videos, a bookcase and a range of games. Overlooking the living area is a long mezzanine gallery, providing a fabulous view of the room.

The kitchen diner is 8 meters by 4 meters. It has a range of modern solid oak kitchen units with a cooker and hob, microwave, large American fridge freezer, and dishwasher. The large solid ash table and chairs comfortably seats ten people and is fantastic for parties!

Just of the kitchen /dining room is a utility room with washing machine tumble dryer and sink, plus a door through to a separate toilet.

If you climb the oak staircase and walk along the gallery, you come to the 6 meter long master bedroom suite, with exposed beams, stonework and solid oak furniture. There is a sitting area with television and views from the window to the west across the fields. The bedroom has a luxury en suite bathroom with shower over.

Also off the gallery is the Den! This is a 6 meter long activity loft with television, video and play station. It also has books and games and will keep the kids occupied for hours!

Also in the Den are three chairs that fold down into floor-level beds for children. A family of four or five could use the master suite and Den combined as their accommodation.

The newer part of the barn is all on the ground floor and is accessed from the salon. It has three further bedrooms with three en-suites.

The 6 meter long pool room overlooks the pool and sleeps three, having a double bed and a large day bed. It is also ideal for keeping an eye on the children playing around the pool. It has an en-suite bathroom with shower over.

The 6 meter long garden room faces the shaded north patio and also has a double bed and large day bed. It also has an en-suite bathroom with shower over.

The 5 meter long kids room also faces north and has two single beds. It has an en-suite shower room. If not used for sleeping, this room also doubles well as a shower and changing room as it is easily reached from the pool.

The property stands in just over half an acre of land, laid to lawn and patio on three sides. The garden get the sun all day! All garden furniture is good quality hard wood.

The east patio is covers approximately 180 square meters on two levels and has the heated pool with spectacular views of the countryside beyond. The pool complies with French safety laws. Around the pool are sunbeds, steamers and umbrellas. Outside the barn doors is a large, 10 seater dining table and barbeque. It is possible to bathe by the pool in the sun until quite late into the evening, then put the underwater pool light on and go for that last dip.

The south patio is 12 meters square and overlooks the large south lawn. There is a further 6 seater dining table. This is a wonderful spot to have that last drink of the night as the sun goes down.

The north patio runs the length of the property and is a great place to cool off a little if you need to get out of the sun.

All bed linen and towels, excluding pools towels and provided. The management team can provide additional washing and cleaning services as required.
