19th Century Farmhouse situated in the tiny hamlet of Ferfant
This south-facing
farmhouse, situated in the tiny hamlet of Ferfant, has recently been
renovated to a high standard whilst maintaining its original charm
and cosy atmosphere. It has views over the neighbouring fields of
corn and sunflowers and this tranquil setting is perfect for a relaxing,
stress-free holiday. The nearest shop and bar are only three kilometres
away but a bread van visits Ferfant daily. It is only six kilometres
to the market town of Lezay which has shops and restaurants as well
as a large weekly market. . Facilities for tennis, horse riding, fishing
and boating are all easily accessible within a few kilometres of the
house and the gentle terrain makes the area perfect for cycling; six
bikes are available on site.
The house itself has, on the ground floor, an entry hall, lounge
with attractive fireplace, a modern, well-equipped kitchen with
dishwasher, a utility room with washing machine and a separate WC.
Upstairs in each of the three bedrooms there is either a double
or a king size bed and one room has an additional single bed. A
cot is also available. There is a large bathroom with toilet. With
the central heating this house is ideal to rent at any time of the
year.
At the front of the house
is a pretty veranda and adjoining the house an open barn has been
converted to a magnificent covered eating and sitting area. The
10 X 5 metre, enclosed pool is ideally positioned to benefit from
sunshine, dawn till dusk. The beautifully designed garden of approximately
1500 square metres provides ample space for all the family to relax
in safety. The only traffic on the lane which leads to the house
is the occasional passing tractor.
No pets.
